It seems Coronavirus pandemic affects around the globe will take a year or more to fully dissipate. There may be highs and lows in the curves but for it to fully dissipate to the point where humans can freely move and act again that would take at least a year or until effective medicines and vaccines are widely available. For this reason, Trilingual Business Interpreter (TBI) has decided to continue offering high quality Japanese-English-Chinese interpretation services based on the following principles. This operation mode will run until Japan and the world returns to its default standard.
< When under state of emergency or any other similar restrictions >
・In principle, only remote interpreting (incl. teleconference, videoconference, SKYPE and other IT interfaces) will be available during these times.
< When restrictions are lifted either partially or fully >
・Please ensure the meeting (interpreting) venue is set up according to the latest infection preventative measures set out by the local government.
・Excluding distanced or separated arrangement such as an interpreter's booth or table (i.e. at a distance from other tables) a mask will be worn during interpreting.
・No hand-shake: leg or elbow shakes, hand wave, air hand-shakes, or Japanese bows will replace the direct hand-shakes for the time-being.
・In principle, all preparation meetings prior to the session will be done remotely.
・If remote interpreting would unlikely have a negative impact on communication effectiveness or meeting results, TBI may propose remote interpreting as an alternative option.

新冠肺炎（COVID-19）目前全球蔓延中，雖然疫情有高低變化但很明顯的它的影響力是長期性。在疫苗跟特效藥還沒有出來之前「中英日逐步翻譯 (TBI)」將於以下方針繼續提供高品質的專業口譯服務：
【日本政府緊急事態｜其他限制發令期間中】
・在日本政府發令緊急事態或是類似限制期間中，TBI 原則上只提供「遠距口譯」 (任何非直接會面式的口譯）包括：電話視訊，SKYPE 及其他網路對話。
【無發令｜無特別宣告】
・請依據當地政府規定的防疫條件來準備口譯會場，確保會場的防疫環境水準。
・TBI 原則上以在戴口罩狀態下進行口譯，除非口譯空間是屬於完全隔離的狀態（例：口譯室 / 口譯箱 / 隔離角落的座位）。
・不握手：以握腳 / 手肘，揮手，日式彎腰鞠躬等來代替直接性的握手。
・所有事前準備（包括與會討論）原則上以遠距方式進行。
・如果遠距口譯不會影響會議內容品質，TBI 有可能提議以遠距型態提供口譯服務。
